How to Start an OnlineChapter

Why Should I Want to Form an OnlineChapter?

Since you are reviewing this material, we can assume that you are a person who is interested and motivated to assist and support your community. This way of thinking is the cornerstone to why you should consider forming a chapter. The motivation to establish an online chapter should not be based upon the acquiring of riches or the obtaining of power; rather it should be to partner with your community and support those agencies who work day in and day out to deliver needed services.

Please review the Grants To You vision and mission to gain greater insight into our focus.

Why You Should Consider Forming an Online Chapter:

  • By forming a chapter, you will have the opportunity to build partnerships throughout your community, working with colleges, with United Way, with RSVP, with grant experts, students, seniors and other motivated citizens.
  • You will have the opportunity to support agencies that help those in need and, at the same time help senior citizens to live more meaningful lives and help students to sharpen their skills and receive community service credits.
  • You will also be able to sharpen your marketing skills by working with local print and broadcast media and to your use of powerful social networking tools that are now available.
  • Your chapter will be receiving a percentage of the fees that online student volunteers pay for taking our first online class…Grant Research and Writing. These funds will be available for your personal use and for supporting any paid advertising programs you may select.

Finally, when you form your online chapter, you will be an integral part of a growing movement that we envision will eventually blanket the United States with over 24,000 volunteers who are writing/researching grant opportunities for their favorite, local non-profits(s). We feel that this is an exciting opportunity for involvement, for community building and support and for earning some part time income.

Starting an Online Chapter

Grants To You has devoted countless hours developing the infrastructure to enable local, in classroom chapters to operate in an effective and efficient manner with a minimal need for labor. Our online chapters will be even less labor intensive with the primary focus on getting the word out about our online class(es) to citizens throughout your agreed to territory.

Further, our grantstoyou.org web site is designed to reduce paperwork to an absolute minimum and to enable Chapter Coordinators to administer operations and generate performance and activity reporting to satisfy the Chapter, the non-profit agencies that volunteer students have designated when the register for the class, funders, donors, the IRS and Grants To You National.
