As a Chapter, What Support Will I Receive?
The entire purpose of Grants To You is to support its Chapters. There is no way that GTU can achieve its long-term objective of training over 100,000 volunteers nationwide without providing excellent and ongoing support.
What GTU will provide:
- Easy access to a knowledgeable Board of Directors/Advisory Council who understands business, all aspects of grant making, senior issues, student issues, college programs and attitudes and who will guide the growth of GTU throughout the United States.
- Utilizing the Arizona based Yavapai County Tri-Cities Chapter as a test site, we have build a strong, well-tested infrastructure.
- We are in the process of designing and implementing and computer based infrastructure that will enable a chapter to operate with a minimum of labor cost. The system will be using the latest in WEB Site technology and will enable both volunteers and chapters to get to know us and then to sign up on-line. On request, a variety of operating reports will be generated in order to enhance the efficiency of the operation and access to performance and impact of our volunteer program.
- The WEB Site will also contain all that is necessary to operate a chapter including the process, the building of a Board of Directors/Advisory Council, Volunteer Training, Volunteer Recruiting, Finance.really everything you will need to run your chapter.
- You can also look forward to at least one annual meeting somewhere in the United States and perhaps regional meetings as well. These meetings will give you a chance to share some of your challenges and receive some solutions from other chapters. You can also count on some additional education on how to improve the operation of a chapter.all aspects.
- You will also be receiving a newsletter to which you will be able to contribute and from time to time you will receive a bulletin with important news that will enhance some aspect of your chapter operation.
